		<description>hi ryan,

julie amero's case has caught wide attention from all over the world, including the netherlands (where i live).

your (not so very) fuzzy thoughts on the matter help me much in my writing about it, since the stupidity i find in the process reports is really mind-boggling (and a very fatigeuing read).

the ideas i formed (over the years) on the us legal system derive from witty tv-serials, but nothing of them i find in july amero's mistrial: experts (on the prosecution's side) that are fairly illiterate on the subject (to say the least), a judge wanting to move on with her life (as a couch-potato?), a paper with a mind made up on beforehand (guilty as a witch), a prosecutor with a hidden agenda, jurors that are unable to listen, and the real guilt-bearers that are left in the shadow - almost clubbing time (but i can't, i'm a pacifist).

excuses all over the place if my english/american is not of a reasonable level, it's far from my native speech and writing - and sorry again for you probably not being able to read my articles on the matter (julie amero's case that is) since they are in dutch and loaded with irony and sarcasm (overall i'm -like a lot of my and your countrypeople- not so fond of where the us are evolving into, and our government is bs-ing us as well).

the first article i wrote on the matter is found at "~/sgry/070112.html" and the second one (a work still in progress) at "~/sgry/070306.html".

you asked about my browser and so: firefox 2.0.0.3 (on win xp-sp2 without automatic update), i use zonealarm for firewall (used sygate syshield until symantec bought it), avg free edition as a protection against viruses and the lot, and every once in a while i cleansweep my computer with the likes of ad-aware, spybot S D and spywareblaster - you see i'm not too fond of m$ as well, in a bit i'll migrate to one of the linuxes.

see you on the blog,
